Rotten to Corbyn

Washington Nationals quarterback Patrick Corbin might be at the top of our vanishing list right now. And while you might think a showdown with the humble Pittsburgh Pirates could keep us from fading out, you couldn’t be more wrong.

Corbin is basically the most expensive MLB role at this point in his career. It’s mostly been a disaster since signing his big contract with the Nats – other than his strong first campaign in 2019 – but 2022 is shaping up to be his worst season yet. The left has an ugly expected EP of 6.47 and sheds the .317 average hitter expected for opponents and allows more hits than any other bowler in baseball this season.

Despite his annoying display, we get quite a bit of his allowable support. After several starts of it sitting at 6.5, we get it 5.5 tonight. Probably because he’s facing Buccos.

Yes, the Buccaneers aren’t a great team, but neither are the Orioles nor the Reds. They are part of that stretch of games where Corbin allowed six, eight, seven, 12, nine, seven, eight and seven in his last eight starts, respectively.

The other thing to like about this bet is that Washington generally leaves Corbin in the game even if he is struggling, averaging less than five rounds at the start.

Corbin has been the gift that keeps giving to baseball bettors and it won’t stop tonight.

Patrick Corbin prop: More than 5.5 results are allowed (-105)

Kirk can’t be stopped

MLB fans certainly note that Alejandro Kirk of the Toronto Blue Jays is not only going through a breakout season, but has quickly become one of the best hitters in baseball.

The latest voting update on the All-Star poll Kirk received over 1 million votes from Yankees Jose Trevino. why not? The man is in absolute tears.

Kirk now hits .322 for the season with .936 OPS and he took that to the next level in June. Kirk averages 0.351 this month and over the last six games, it’s 0.435. He also has 11 additional hits in June that help him cross 1.5 total base 13 times in 20 starts.

But sports writers didn’t seem to notice much because Kirk still regularly makes solid money on his overall base staves, including +120 today when he faces Michael Washa and the Boston Red Sox.

While the right-handed has a 2.34 ERA, he’s been a bit out of luck. 4.43 has a predicted ERA and .274 average predicted batting of opponents showing a mid-level pitcher. And he’s definitely not a guy you can count on to shut out a hot Kirk.

Bank On Kirk continues beating Washa and Thor Red Sox.

Alejandro Kirk stent: Over 1.5 total bases (+120)

Not a Mini Cooper

Well guys. We’ve found another hot hitter that the sportsbook hasn’t identified yet, Miami Marlins first policeman Garrett Cooper.

We bet Cooper beat his total bases last night at +140 and won three times in a Marlins loss. So, it was a surprise to see his base total reach +135 in tonight’s second game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Cooper has been on an exceptional campaign in his 31-year-old season thanks in large part to playing every day. He hit .316 with .845 OPS, but he especially has been ripping off cover for the ball this month, hitting .386 with .952 OPS in June.

Another reason to admire Cooper as an overall rules candidate is that he’s a doubles machine, hitting 17 per season. And he’ll be looking to stay hot when he edges out Cardinals champ Dakota Hudson.

The right-hander has been the defining average hitter this season with an expected batting average of 4.80 with an expected batting average of 0.284 delivered to opponents.

While Cooper has only two careers at bat against Hudson, he’s 1 for 2 and reaches an impressive 328 when he faces the right-handers this season. The value on supporting the overall Cooper bases is too good to be missed again.

Garrett Cooper prop: Over 1.5 total bases (+135)
